Cardboard Packing Box
Simply Boxes provides cardboard boxes for all your packing needs. Boxes are available in packs of 10 through to packs of 100, so whether packing away household storage, archiving paperwork or moving business premise or home, there is a solution to meet your packing needs! If you require larger quantities, please do not hesitate to contact our Sales Team on 01623 811050, we will be happy to take your enquiry.
Don’t underestimate how long packing may take. Plan well ahead and pack box by box. Don’t forget to label each cardboard box as they are packed! It will save so much time whenever the time comes to unpack! Try to label quite specifically, rather than using general terms such as ‘paperwork’ or ‘kitchen items’, list exactly what is in each box. A lot of household paperwork and bank statements are perhaps something you would not expect to need to refer to again and not feel the need to state ‘bank statements, paid household bills and mortgage statements’, however if you do need to check how much you paid for a certain item or find proof of delivery, then be prepared! The last thing you want is to undo all the cardboard boxes in your attic to find a simple piece of paperwork!
To maximise the strength of the cardboard boxes, ensure they are H-taped. This involves taping the two adjoining lengths as normal, but also then taping corner-to-corner forming the shape of the letter H.
Another key to packing is not to overload! It is quite tempting to put all your books into one or two cardboard boxes full to the top. Whilst the cardboard will support the weight, you may well strain a muscle or pull your back in the process of manoeuvring the box! Hand holes have been designed for easy carrying, so remember as you are packing that they also have to be moved! Distribute books amongst four or five boxes and fill the airspace with something light and bulky, such as blankets or towels.
Generally speaking, use the correct sized cardboard box that best fits the product. The ideal box leaves little air space. This is particularly important if boxes are to be stacked on top of each other. It will ensure your possessions are well protected by the cardboard. Fragile or vulnerable items will need an additional protection in the form of bubble wrap, which can also be purchased from Simply Boxes. Take care when packing to ensure your possessions are secure and protected.
Packing should not be overwhelming and can quite often be fun if you allow yourself time and are not too hurried!
